I created costumes for the Rudy Perez Performance Ensemble's latest original work, "Surrender Dorothy", a new piece incorporating the writings of the late Dorothy Parker, and set to new music by minimalist composer Steve Moshier.

The work makes use of simple anatomical movements to suggest the shared isolation that accompanies the integration process of human relationships. In order to achieve a unified sense of timelessness, I chose a color scheme of cool greys and historical shapes that referenced active-wear sewing conventions from varied periods of fashion history. Each dancer's costume alluded to habitual choices that they repeatedly made for rehearsal attire.
